The call for submission to the 6th International Short Tourism Film Festival of Amorgos is now open.

The International Short Tourism Film Festival of Amorgos has just launched its 6th Edition and will take place from October 21st to 26th, 2015, in Aigiali, Amorgos Island, Greece.
We invite filmmakers from all around the world to submit feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental works to present their work.
The call is open for films promoting tourism, art, culture and environment.
Film should be made between 2010 and 2015 with a total duration of less than 25 minutes.
Films should be in their original language with English Subtitles, if the original language is not English.
> The Festival
The International Short Tourism Film Festival of Amorgos is an annual 4-day event organized by the Cultural Association of Tholaria – Amorgos andAegialis Hotel & Spa and held during the works of the YPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism in Aigiali, Amorgos Island, Greece.
It was established in 2010 by the Cultural Association of Tholaria – Aegiali at the occasion of the 8thYPERIA International Convention on Culture and Tourism.
The Festival’s main intention is to set up an international platform with a view to encouraging global tourism through audio-visual media. Every year, the best films, documentaries and activities that contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism and the implementation of green practices, are nominated for an award. Tourism films are a good opportunity to address important issues and highlight the cultural and environmental richness of a place.
The Festival aims:
- To contribute to the development of domestic (particularly on Amorgos and the Cyclades islands) and foreign tourism.
- To popularize and encourage the implementation of green practices in tourism driven by the need for social responsibility and sustainable development.
- To encourage short film production and foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation among producers from around the world.
> Jury & Awards
The 3 films to be awarded are selected by the jury on the basis of quality and originality.
The Jury will consist of 5 members from different countries.
Each jury member rates the movies on a scale of 1 to 5 in the following three categories:
- Subject & Script
- Photography
- Soundtrack
The jury announces the final result after the jury members have casted their individual votes.
Participation Certificates will be delivered to all movies presented during the festival.
Winners from the 6th International Short Tourism Film Festival of Amorgos will receive a special Award Certificate as well as a prize created and offered by the Cycladic marble sculptor and conservator Nikos KARPOUZIS.
